Our faith calls us to share the love of Christ both in our community and around the world. Whether we are serving our neighbors nearby or supporting ministries across the globe, we strive to meet needs, offer hope, and make a lasting impact. Together, we can be the hands and feet of Jesus—bringing light and compassion to those around us and beyond.

Atlanta Inner-City Ministries (AIM)

Our church partners with Atlanta Inner-City Ministry (AIM) to serve families in need and share Christ’s love. AIM provides food, clothing, and essential support while creating a safe space for children and teens to grow in faith and community.

Each Tuesday during the school year, AIM hosts dinner and Bible study for local children, supported by area congregations. Through mentoring, seasonal outreach, and emergency assistance, AIM brings hope to those facing hardship. We support this mission by providing meals, volunteering, donating, and praying.

Hiram Elementary School

Many students at Hiram Elementary School face temporary homelessness, and West Metro is committed to providing care and support during these difficult times. Through a partnership with the school counselor, we supply toiletry bags filled with essential hygiene items like body wash, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, socks, and more. We also occasionally provide breakfast, ensuring children have a warm meal to start their day. By meeting these basic needs, we strive to support students and their families while sharing Christ’s love in a simple yet meaningful way.

Rainbow Omega

We are honored to partner with Rainbow Omega, a faith-based organization in Eastaboga, Alabama, that provides residential and vocational programs for adults with developmental disabilities. Their mission to offer “hope in the end” inspires us to serve and connect with this amazing community. Throughout the year, we volunteer our time to support their work, especially during the Christmas season, bringing joy and encouragement to the residents. We also join them several times a year in worship, celebrating faith and fellowship together.

Trujillo Christian School

Since 1992, Trujillo Christian School in Honduras has provided faith-based education, growing from 40 to over 200 students in pre-K through sixth grade. Dedicated teachers nurture both academic and spiritual growth, creating a strong foundation for their future. For $50 a month, sponsors help provide students with uniforms, shoes, supplies, and a certified curriculum, ensuring they receive a quality education. Ongoing donations support the school’s staff, facilities, and improvements, overseen by church elders. Each summer, volunteers also take part in a 10-day mission trip to serve the school and the local community.

Trujillo Christian School
Honduras Bible School

Founded by West Metro in 2014, Honduras Bible School was established in partnership with Trujillo Christian School (TCS) to provide accessible biblical education for adults. Previously, the nearest Bible school required a five-hour bus ride each way. Hosting the program on the TCS campus allows Christians in Trujillo and nearby communities to attend without the challenges of long travel and overnight stays.

This three-year program equips students to teach, minister, lead worship, and serve their congregations. Between sessions, students apply their knowledge at home, building up their local churches. The school has developed strong Christian leaders, with several graduates receiving scholarships to pursue full-time ministry.

Buenos Aires Congregation Support

Since 2017, West Metro and the Hohenwald, TN Church of Christ have supported the Buenos Aires congregation and their minister, Fernando Munguia. The church has grown from meeting in small rented spaces to owning and developing its property, building and expanding facilities, and adding a children’s Bible classroom.

West Metro representatives visit three times a year—spring, summer, and November—offering support through preaching, planning, and construction. Each visit is shaped by the congregation’s needs. While Fernando is bilingual, most members speak Spanish. Their dedication is evident, as they have done much of the construction themselves. Our partnership continues to strengthen their ministry and impact in the community.
